Ingredients: 1/2 lb lean ground beef 1/4 cup medium salsa 1 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp onion powder dash pepper 4 small slices pepper jack cheese 2 hamburger buns, toasted Instructions: Set the oven to broil. In a medium bowl, mix together the beef, salsa, powder, salt, cumin, onion powder, and pepper. Shape the meat into 4 very thin patties. Place two small slices of cheese on two of the patties. Top each with the remaining patties and seal the edges. Line a lipped baking pan with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray, then place the burgers on the pan. Broil for 12-15 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the burgers reach desired doneness. Place on the toasted bun and top as desired. |
