Ingredients: 1 small egg, slightly beaten 1/8 cup tortilla chips, finely crushed) 1/4 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp cumin dash of salt dash of pepper 1/2 lb ground chicken 2 slices pepperjack cheese 2 hamburger buns, toasted salsa, for topping Instructions: In a medium bowl stir together the egg, tortilla chips, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and mix well. The mixture will be wet. Shape into round patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Cook the patties on the stove-top over medium-high heat, for about 10 minutes per side, until no longer pink in the center. If you're using a meat thermometer, it should register 165 degrees. Top with the cheese, then serve on the toasted bun, and top the burger with salsa. |
